Ki-Hara Resistance Training
Ki- Hara is a revolutionary form of flexibility, strength training, and core work that is like no other workout you’ve ever done before. During this stretching session, a bodywork technique known as “Mashing” is used to warm up the tissue. This is a modified form of Thai massage, where the practitioner uses their feet to soften the muscles. Once the muscles are warm, the patient and practitioner problem solve for the target area, addressing all the muscles that impact the affected joint. Both strengthening the inhibited muscles and lengthening the shortened muscles will get the body back to optimal function.
Following the session, you will feel an instant release of tension as well as a burst of energy as the muscles are stripped of toxins and lactic acid and replenished with fresh blood and oxygen. During Ki-Hara Resistance Stretching, the muscles are being contracted and lengthened at the same time so the muscles are only taken as far as they resist to keep stretching safe and effective. The basic goal of Ki-Hara is to ensure that the muscles are strong throughout their ranges of motion. It aims to not only lengthen the muscles but to also ensure strength throughout that length. Strength and flexibility go hand-in-hand, which in turn provides stability to the joints.
